Vancouver - May 19 - spread the word!
Please spread this message to anyone you know in Vancouver!
If you are interested or concerned with the plight of GLBT refugees in our world, please come to a meeting with the North Star Triangle Project on Thursday May 19 at Barclay Manor, 1447 Barclay in the West End. The gathering will go from 7:00-8:30 pm. The meeting is being held in partnership with the Rainbow Refugee Project located here in Vancouver. You will have an opportunity to meet and speak with David Pepper of the North Star Triangle Project and Chris Morrissey from Rainbow Refugee. David is travelling across Canada to raise awareness about GLBT refugees and promote the idea of "Group of 5" sponsorships. GLBT refugees from many countries in the world face real and present danger. You may be interested in finding out more about what is happening locally and in Canada to help around the world.
The 21 city tour across Canada was launched in Winnipeg on April 13th and will continue until July 2011.

Vancouver & Victoria dates set -- contacts still needed if you have them
Settled in Vancouver for about 10 days -- and planning out the next month of the national tour.
Immediate needs:
Vancouver contacts for meeting on May 19th. (Just about to confirm location - stay tuned).
Victoria meeting will take place on May 24 -- and the location still to be set. Also need contacts there.
I realize as I type this that I am blogging as if on Twitter. Sorry -- will try to speak in full sentences and paragraphs in the future.
